Local Party websites have to date have been built upon the MODX content management system. This is the system you currently use to update your Local Party website.
We have listened to a number of your concerns and observe the difficulty some Parties have in maintaining an up to date presence on the web.
As a party we believe it is critical to our success to ensure our messages, policies and actions are as public and visible as possible. Part of this that we can control is our own websites.
The Digital Team has been reviewing all the Local Party websites and really want to make sure we provide you with the tools that are as simple to use as possible. We are very happy to announce that we can now provide you with new websites created on the WordPress system.
The Party are lucky to have a member that works for the company behind the WordPress system, Automatic LLP. He has assisted in setting us up a single scalable platform to deploy the Local sites on.
The new WordPress Local Party websites come with a custom designed theme and set of widgets allowing you to easily update, modify and customise your website as you see fit.

If you would like to take advantage of this and request your Local Party site be moved over to the new WordPress system please email me lee.davies@greenparty.org.uk with your Party name, your name and position. The digital team will then set you up and account and liase with you about getting your site moved over .
